Politikens Lokalaviser select Localstars advertising technology to drive their digital advertising in Denmark and Sweden.
The Localstars solution enables Politikens Lokalaviser to expand in their key markets using the Localstars advertising platform to make engaging ads with production efficiencies.
Leading Scandinavian publisher, Politikens Lokalaviser signed a contract with the award-winning advertising technology business, Localstars, enabling Politikens Lokalaviser to accelerate their digital growth across Denmark and Sweden. The Localstars advertising platform will fuel their digital sales growth by creating and pitching with in-context previews in which client’s ads are innovatively placed within their publications to show how the final layout will appear. Additionally, the platform will be utilised by Politikens Lokalaviser’s in-house production centres to gain production efficiencies as they can automatically create multi-format ads, which can be delivered across devices from one single ad shape.
Politikens Lokalaviser is a large publisher with a focus on local news and marketing services in Denmark and Sweden; overall they publish 85 newspapers in southern Sweden and in Denmark. They operate across multiple channels, owning local papers, mobile sites and web TV and also have other business activities including an agency and newspaper distribution. In Denmark, Lokalavisen.dk is the largest local news site.
The new contract follows a highly successful period of collaboration between Politikens Lokalaviser and Localstars to establish an effective digital sales model together. A key reason being Localstars’ experience driving digital success for publishers such as Fairfax Media, Global Radio and Gatehouse Media. Localstars’ existing clients have experienced up to 55% year-on-year increases in digital display ads, consistently high-success in converting traditional media clients to multimedia packages and also benefited from ongoing support to optimise their advertising processes.
