Localstars Advertising Guidelines

  1. These advertising guidelines apply to any and all material which you as a User (whether a Publisher or Advertiser) contribute to our advertising platform (“Contributions“).
  2. You must comply with the spirit of the following standards as well as the letter. The standards apply to each part of any contribution as well as to its whole.
  3. Contributions must:
    1. Be accurate (where they state facts);
    2. Be genuinely held (where they state opinions); and
    3. Comply with applicable laws, regulations and or codes of practice in the territory in which the advertisement originates and is displayed.
  4. Contributions must not:
    1. Contain any material which is defamatory of any person. A statement is defamatory if, when said about a person and published to a third party, it would make ordinary people think less of that person.
    2. Contain any material which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory.
    3. Promote sexually explicit material.
    4. Promote violence.
    5. Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
    6. Infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person such as (by way of example only) using the creative works of another without the consent of the copyright owner
    7. Be likely to deceive any person.
    8. Be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.
    9. Promote any illegal activity.
    10. Be threatening, abuse or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.
    11. Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.
    12. Be used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.
    13. Give the impression that they emanate from [Publisher], if this is not the case.
    14. Advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse.
